Prepping Non-Swimmers for Snorkeling in Maui
Your snorkeling in Maui starts from the beach where you meet Triston, your tour guide and instructor. He was born and raised on Maui with the spirit of Aloha! You will spend 10-30 minutes on the shoreline with him in shallow water with a life jacket on.
You will stand while learning all about swimming, snorkeling, and using your mask and fins. You will get one-on-one feedback and instruction to make sure you feel prepared to go into the water. This practice makes you comfortable in the water so you can float freely. You will be given a detailed briefing on all ocean safety, a complete tutorial on our snorkeling gears. Our snorkeling goggles are top-of-the-line, no foggy or leaky goggles!
Heading into the Water on Your Snorkeling Tour
Once you’ve learned how to breathe with a snorkel and practiced floating on the water’s surface, your guide will take you on our giant 15 feet paddle board in search of turtles and other marine life! Learn about Hawaiian culture as Triston paddles you through the magnificent coral-sea garden of Wailea point.
Once you arrive at the snorkeling spot, he will stop the board and gear you up for snorkeling. It’s your choice to just relax on the board and let your family, friends or kids enjoy snorkeling or jump in with them.
